I did a presentation of Hotelzon to a prospect the other day. One of the questions they had was: what is a non-GDS hotel actually? It is a good question especially since we talk about our non-GDS hotel content when we present Hotelzon. It is simply a hotel that you cannot book in the GDS systems.

I just came back from a trip to South Africa. What a wonderful country with amazing nature, animals and people. A trip I can truly recommend!

One thing that I realized is that in the Nordic region, we believe that we are the champions in protecting the environment and that we are doing all we possibly can. The general comments you can hear is: “We have come much further than other countries as we have been working on this for a long time”. However, this is not entirely true.

When talking to hoteliers you often get the comment “You cannot imagine how busy I am running this hotel making my customers happy and now you want me to evaluate another sales opportunity”. I have worked in the operations' side of hotel business for over 10 years. I started as a receptionist and worked my way up to general management.
